Couch Privacy Policy

Couch is a TV remote app for iPhone made by Stellaire Web (Reza Abtahian, Montreal). This page explains what the app does with data. The short version: Couch does not collect any.

What Couch does not do

• No account or sign-in.
• No analytics, advertising, tracking or crash-reporting services.
• No data is sent to Stellaire Web or to anyone else. There is no server behind the app.
• No personal information, contacts, location, photos or microphone.

What stays on your phone

• The names and local network addresses of the TVs you add, so the app can reach them again.
• The pairing key each TV gives the app, stored in the iPhone Keychain and used only to talk to that TV.
• Your app preferences.

All of this is deleted when you remove a TV in Settings or delete the app.

Local network

Couch asks for Local Network permission so it can find your TV and send remote commands to it over your Wi-Fi. Commands go directly from your phone to the TV. Nothing leaves your home network. On Roku TVs, app icons shown in Couch are loaded from the TV itself.

Purchases

Couch Pro is sold through Apple's App Store using Apple's in-app purchase system. Payment details are handled by Apple and never seen by the app or by Stellaire Web. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in your Apple Account settings. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies.

Children

Couch is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
